As a first step to build the puppet Bluebeard I began to collect the drawings I’ve done on the subject in the course of a few years.

Inspired by the fairy tale by Perrault Bluebeard, I drew the character with the long beard like an ogre, burly and scary. , In contrast to the bride, delicate and naive.  Then I had a thought: how is it possible that a scary ogre can seduce a girl? Indeed, how could seduce not one, but many girls and then kill them?

 Its appearance should be attractive and at the same time preserve something scary. Perhaps his magic Bluebeard, not matted like that of an ogre, but a shadow pale blue in the face …. I like the costumes of the 1700s and the historic environment of the fairy tale by Perrault and therefore the puppet will look like a gentleman’s shirt with lace, elegant robe, etc..
